Something is wrong with the screen.
Pixels are going dark. Slowly at first, then all at once. You are caught in the middle of it, eating whatever data you can find, trying to outlast a display that has already given up.
It is not a complicated situation. Eat, grow, repair what you can. Die if you stop paying attention.
The dead pixels do not wait for you to be ready.
px-0 (player)
Every screen has a pixel zero. The first one to initialize, the last one the system bothers to track. When this display started dying, the cleanup swept through in order. px-0 was supposed to go with everything else.
It didn't.
Nobody can explain why it still moves, why it eats, why it grows. The logs just show an active process with no origin and no scheduled end. Whatever px-0 is running toward, it hasn't found it yet.
flatline (boss)
When enough pixels die in the same region, the signal goes flat. Still. And then after a moment of nothing, something starts moving through that flatness like it belongs there.
Flatline does not rush. It has no reason to. Dead pixels trail behind it and spread from its mouth the way a machine vents heat, as a byproduct of simply existing. Most of its body is already gone signal. The blue patches are the only parts still cold enough to register contact.
Hit those. Do not touch anything else.

Dead pixels spread. They do not stop. The longer you survive the less space you have to work with and the faster it gets.
You have a repair ability. It helps. It is not enough.
At a certain score flatline shows up and the whole game changes.
